  • Case information: state of conviction, conviction type, written description of your situation
  • Technical information: IP address, browser type, pages visited, session duration, cookies, UTM campaign parameters
  • Communication records: copies of emails and form submissions sent to us

  • Assess your eligibility for expungement services under your state's statutes
  • Deliver the services you engage us for
  • Communicate with you about your case, including scheduling, status updates, and outcome confirmation
  • Measure and improve our site and service (internal analytics)

3. Information Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We share information only in the following limited circumstances:

  • Service providers: Resend (transactional email), Vercel (hosting and edge network), Google Analytics 4 (anonymous analytics). Each provider processes data under a data processing agreement.
  • Legal compliance: when required by law, court order, or government request
  • Business transfers: in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, subject to confidentiality obligations

  • Completed cases: records retained for 7 years following case closure, consistent with standard document retention practices
  • Non-engaged inquiries (eligibility checks or contact form submissions that did not result in an engagement): retained for 1 year, then deleted
  • Marketing opt-outs: retained indefinitely to honor your opt-out preference

7. Children's Privacy

This site is not directed at children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. For juvenile expungement cases, we require parental or guardian consent before engaging services.

8. Communication Consent (TCPA)

By submitting a form on this site and checking the consent checkbox, you authorize Fresh Start Expungement to contact you by phone, email, or SMS regarding your inquiry, consistent with the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA). Message and data rates may apply. You may opt out at any time by:

We use industry-standard security measures to protect your personal information, including encrypted data transmission (TLS/HTTPS), access controls, and secure third-party infrastructure.
